5th january 2014



it is my 20th wedding anniversary. as usual husband never remember..got to remind him to get a wish huhuhu.  no celebration as we were busy.
i was not in good mood either. there's something bothering me.
we managed 20 years together with a lots of ups and downs and i hope we have more happy year to come.

UDANG MASAK SERAI


15-20 udang (medium size)
1 tomato
5 dried chillies - soak in hot waters /boil
1 onion
2 garlics
1 lemongrass
1 buah keras - lupa plak what it`s called in english (this optional)
1 tbsp tomato ketchup
2 tbsp evaporated milk
3 tbsp coconut milk - optional, i always omit this.
sugar and salt to taste.
1 onion - cut round 
 
  1. Blend together till fine these ingredients ; dried chillies + onion + garlic + lemongrass + tomato + buah keras. 
  2. Panaskan minyak dan goreng sekejap udang... just tukar warna je...jgn sampai masak plak. angkat and tos.
  3. dgn minyak lebihan goreng udang tu, tumis bahan kisar hingga naik minyak.
  4. then add tomato ketchup and evaporated milk and stir. 
  5. Add prawns, cook for 3 mins, add evaporated milk and coconut milk dan kalau perlu sedikit air.
  6. Add sugar and salt to taste, add in the onion and cook till a bit thick and remove from heat. Ready to eat.
 
Can also add potatoes. I normally slice the potato and deep fry for a while and add the potato into the sauce at step 6.
